Q: How do I get my API credentials?
A: Log in to your Sprinklr account, navigate to Settings → API Configuration, and generate your access token and API key.
Q: How long do access tokens last?
A: Token lifetime varies by configuration. We recommend rotating tokens every 90 days.
Q: Can I use the same credentials for multiple environments?
A: We recommend using separate credentials for development, staging, and production environments.
Q: What are the rate limits?
A: Rate limits vary by account tier. Check the Rate Limiting Guide for details.
Q: How do I request a rate limit increase?
A: Contact your account manager to discuss upgrading your tier.
Q: What happens if I exceed the rate limit?
A: You'll receive a 429 error. Implement exponential backoff and retry after the rate limit resets.
Q: I'm getting a 401 Unauthorized error. What should I do?
A: Verify that:
- Your Bearer token is included in the Authorization header
- The token hasn't expired
- The token format is correct (
Bearer YOUR_TOKEN)
Q: I'm getting a 404 Not Found error. Why?
A: The resource doesn't exist, has been deleted, or you don't have permission to access it. Verify the resource ID is correct.
Q: What does "INVALID_PARAMETER" mean?
A: One or more request parameters are invalid or missing. Check the error message for specific details about which field caused the error.
Q: How many items can I retrieve in a single request?
A: Most list endpoints return up to 100 items per page. Use pagination to retrieve additional items.
Q: Can I get all data without pagination?
A: No, pagination is required for endpoints that return large datasets. Implement pagination to retrieve all data.
Q: How do I get multiple resources at once?
A: Use batch endpoints by providing comma-separated IDs (up to 50).
Solution:
- Verify token is included:
Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN - Check for extra spaces or newlines in token
- Regenerate token if expired
- Ensure using HTTPS, not HTTP
Solution:
- Verify the account ID is correct
- Check if account has been deleted
- Ensure you have permission to access the account
- Try fetching by account type channel ID instead
Solution:
- Implement exponential backoff
- Use batch endpoints to reduce request count
- Cache frequently accessed data
- Consider upgrading your tier
Solution:
- Reduce page size for paginated requests
- Implement request timeout handling
- Retry with exponential backoff
- Check your network connection
Enable debug logging in your integration:
const DEBUG = process.env.DEBUG === 'true';
function debugLog(message, data) {
if (DEBUG) {
console.log(`[DEBUG] ${message}`, JSON.stringify(data, null, 2));
}
}
// Usage
debugLog('API Request', { endpoint, params });
debugLog('API Response', response);Use these test scenarios:
- Happy Path: Test with valid data
- Invalid IDs: Test with non-existent resource IDs
- Missing Parameters: Test with missing required parameters
- Invalid Authentication: Test with invalid tokens
- Rate Limits: Test rate limit handling
- Network Issues: Test timeout and retry logic
